Water

Central Weld County Water District (CWCWD) supplies the town’s treated water. The water is treated to assure us that strict regulations are met and provides the town with the best possible quality of water.

Water Usage & Discoloration

The usage of water is metered monthly. A higher usage may occur during the summer months due to lawn irrigation, but can be caused by leaky faucets, toilets, or service lines. If you experience discoloration or bubbles in your water, you should open your faucets and allow them to run for a few minutes. This is likely caused by the town or CWCWD working on their lines.

Average indoor water usage:

  • Flushing toilets - 40%
  • Taking baths / showers - 32%
  • Washing clothes - 14%
  • Cooking / drinking - 5%
  • Washing in bathroom sink - 3%
